Our data transmissions should be private as they travel through any carrier. Don't give them an option to listen or inspect without judicial approval. If this means lost revenue and higher costs, set a sunset date and see what happens. Short leash network management inspection might be OK but it ought to be a very short leash, always anonymous and never for any used for any purpose outside of network management and certainly never resold, not even anonymous aggregate data.
